A downloadable game for Windows

You've been sent to a faraway dungeon to retrieve the king... But is it the right one?

The Wrong Dungeon is an action-rpg, top-down roguelike with procedurally/randomly generated levels. Currently the game is still very early in development (Started roughly October 17th, 2025) with a lot left to be added, fixed, changed etc. There are bound to be some glitches, issues, things that aren't balanced, but anything I find or is mentioned to me I'll work on fixing asap.

I do not take credit for creation of the color palette, audio assets, or sprite assets! I have only recolored and combined them from various artists, with the only current exception being the main attack animation. All the credits are listed in the game on the credits page.

Update yet again:

Alright, so I've officially decided I just need to take some art classes and learn to make my own pixel art assets. The last idea for a project I had to work on even while I decided whether or not to do that still ended up having issues with me not having enough/the right assets. For anyone who doesn't know, I broke my back about five years ago, and I've been worried about how it would hold up in a traditional art class setting- but I think I'm committed enough to learning now that it's still worth trying, and if I run into serious issues I think a private class/lessons would still end up working since I'd be able to sit somewhere/in a way that didn't seriously hurt my back.

If nothing else, I've realized now that I've spent so much time looking at and editing pixel art that I'll have a really good idea of what I need & want to learn, which'll make the classes way more effective, regardless of what they end up being specifically- to be honest, I haven't taken an art class since middle school, since all of my electives in high school were computer classes (Still flexing that 4 on the AP compsci exam, one of my few glistening accomplishments in life) so I'm not even 100% sure where to start looking past some courses nearby.

Depending on how it all goes, I might end up coming back to this project and trying to adjust it while adding in some of my new art, but right now I'll most likely end up either totally re-doing it aside from the code, or start something else that's very similar to it. Either way almost all of the projects I've worked on up to now have been heavily based on what I felt like I could do with free assets, so I think learning to make my own will give me a huge new range of games I could make- at least in terms of art style/setting haha.

This'll most likely take some time, so I might not update anything for awhile, but I still really love making games, and really don't see myself stopping anytime soon! (Past the obvious art classes lol)

Thanks for checking this out if you did!
